De Virginibus Ant.

O pulcræ facies,

Deum aspicientes

et in aurora ædificantes,

o beatæ virgines,

quam nobiles estis.

In quibus rex se consideravit,

cum in vobis omnia cælestia ornamenta præsignavit,

ubi etiam suavissimus hortus estis,

in omnibus ornamentis redolentes.

De Virginibus Resp.

O nobilissima viriditas,

quæ radicas in sole,

et quæ in candida serenitate luces in rota,

quam nulla terrena excellentia comprehendit,

[R] tu circumdata es amplexibus divinorum mysteriorum.

Tu rubes ut aurora

et ardes ut solis flamma.

Psalm Antiphon for the Virgins

O beautiful faces,

Beholding God

And building in the dawn,

O blessed virgins,

How noble you are.

The king took thought for you,

Sealing you to his purpose

And decking you with all ornaments of Heaven,

So you are a garden adorned in sweetness.

Responsory for the Virgins

O noblest greenness,

You who are rooted in the sun

And who shine in bright serenity in a sphere

That no earthly eminence attains.

[R] You are enfolded in the embraces of divine mysteries.

You blush like the dawn

And burn like a flame of the sun.
