One-keyed flutes at the end of the eighteenth century and
the early nineteenth had a penetrating and even tone quality, generally
similar to that of the keyed flutes that had started coming into use.
The models on this page are more extrovert than baroque and rococo styles,
though the Palanca has qualities not unlike earlier types.
